Results - Thame 10k - 28th June 2009

A record 920 runners enjoyed splendid running conditions to finish this years CPM Thame 10k. All 3 male category winners were from Oxford City AC - The race winner was Stephen Male in 33:54. The vetern mens race was won Julian Richardson and the supervets race by Trevor Dixon-Nutt in a time of 37:37.
For the second year in a row Jane Preen of Milton Keynes topped the ladies race in 38:03, by a narrow margin to Tracy Galbraith who won the Ladies Veteran race in 38:32. The Ladies SuprtVet winner was Angela Banks of Alchester Running Club who finished in 43:01.

Results - Bourton Hilly Half - 27th June 2009

The Humph's Hilly Half usually seems to bring out the hot weather and this year was no exception, which made what is already a tough race, as it's name suggests, even more arduous. Both the men and ladies races were won by last year's champions, Gary Payne and 18 year old Steph Lane in times of 1.16.03 and 1.29.13.
Only one Hook Norton Harrier took part, well done to David Warlow

Results - Farnborough Flier 12k - 21st June 2009

The Farnborough Flier is a 12km multi-terrain race held just outside Banbury. The course offered some great fast, flat sections, a gradual, but challenging hill that takes the competitors up to the Burton Dassett Country Park, an exhilarating ridge-top section to take in the views, followed by a cracking section back to Farnborough, past the 17th century splendour of Farnborough Hall to the Finish
There were 163 finishers with Phil Holland winning in 41:42 bettering the course record by 47 seconds. Catherine Harris was the Ladies winner in a time of 54:40

Only one Hooky Harrier ran the Yarnton 5, well done to David Tame who finished 5th out of the 96 runners and was the first home in the "Vet Men" category

The Yarnton 5 is a five mile road race around Yarnton and the surrounding area. The course is split into two sections. The first two and a half miles on track, private road or cycle track. The second half of the race is mainly on quiet roads. The course is fairly flat and the winning time was 26:38.

The Banbury 5 is a scenic one-lap course and is part of the East Midlands Grand Prix Series
Six Hook Norton Harriers completed the undulating course, there were 370 finishers

Results - Chiltern Chase 10k - 7th June 2009

The Chiltern Chase, now in its 4th year, is a 10k charity run that starts from Ewelme Common and wends its way up into the Chiltern Hills. The course uses tracks and Bridleways before returning through this historic village to finish on the Common.
Only one Hook Norton Harrier took part, well done to David Tame who finished 8th out of 390 finishers

The 30th Otmoor Challenge was held on Saturday 6th June in wet and muddy conditions. There were 358 finishers and the winning time was 1:15:01

Results - Wokingham Half - 24th May 2009

In contrast to the usual weather in February, the re-scheduled (due to heavy snow) Wokingham Half Marathon was run in scorching conditions and won at a scorching pace. Dave Webb from Leeds AC broke the course and event record in a time of 1.04.50, incredibly in his first half. Regular at Wokingham, Sarah Gee (V40) of Reading Road Runners won in a time of 1.18.10 Hook Norton Harrier's only competitor, Dee Hailey, completed the race in 1:58:58
